Goodville Mutual Casualty Company

Was with them for 5+ years with Zero claims for homeowners. Shopped my insurance this year and found better pricing. I informed my agent days ahead that we would not be renewing yet Goodville Mutual will not cancel my policy. I have to show proof of new insurance before they will cancel. What the heck??? I never had to show proof of new homeowners insurance to cancel??? Even my new company said this is NOT normal. Very frustrating and will never go back to Goodville Mutual!

My husband and I lost our home to a gas explosion and he was seriously injured. I called my agent while my husband was in flight to the hospital. He said don't worry you're with a great company. You take care of your husband and let me take care of your home. Trust me you have nothing to worry about. The next day my husband was in surgery and the adjuster called. While in recovery he called again and said the check would be in the mail in two weeks. Less than two weeks we had our check. These people saved our financial lives and we will forever be grateful. We've all heard The nightmare stories of people having to sue and chase their insurance just to end up getting pocket change back. There was no worries about rebuilding and they kept in touch just to make sure we were ok and if we needed anything else. I will NEVER be insured with anyone else. We are so grateful to Goodville and our agent Kyle Champ at Portland Insurance. Thank you for everything you have done to for us.

This is the 2nd hail claim filed with Goodville in 2 years (at two different locations). Although we did have hail damage, I wasn't sure what Goodville would allow. There had been about 8 or 10 houses on our street and within a few blocks of our address that had roof replacements in the past 15 months or so, but it wasn't like a complete wipeout type of storm damage. Goodville came through with a claim that paid 70% on our cost. Happening as it did, a year after a previous claim at another location, we were very grateful for the support. Our daughter's company (State Farm) rejected her claim on a house that was on the same street. We would have Goodville coverage at our new location (a 3-generation home), but our daughter's family has a verboten dog breed which prevented that. HOWEVER, as soon as the dog is out of the picture, we will beat a path back to our Goodville agent to switch again.

My insurance company stopped representing Eerie and got us set up with Goodville not leaving us much choice and we made our initial payment and set up an autopayment. They are saying the auto payment forms were never received so we missed one months payment which I found out through my own investigation, not they tried to contact me at all saying a payment was missed or due. They refused to let us back. I've been with my insurance company for 11+ years and never missed a payment and because of a digital error of some sort and no contact from them I guess we need to look elsewhere. Happy to not give them my money. If a small clerical error is resisted this much I can't imagine what dealing with a claim would be like. If your insurance adjust ever says "we can get you a better rate through goodville" just say no.

Tracey is the worse person to deal with. Apparently too busy to actually reach her contacts and very quick to blame others why she can’t return calls or emails. I was rear ended over two months ago from a person who was not licensed and insured by them. They left me paying lots of Ubers and lyfts. This is my response to everyone who has to deal with these incompetent people, sue them. Piece of advise to this insurance company fire that inadequate person. I shouldn’t write a review to get my point across so tell her to answer her emails and calls. I’m pretty sure this isn’t the first complaint you have on her.

Not Happy with this company AT ALL!!!!! We filed a claim for our roof that has two set of asphalt shingles on it and was leaking plus had wind damage from said storms, This company decided it was best to make up there own claim going off of a website and our zip code and avoided what our contractor sent them and us as the owners now here's the Numbers off a website also the numbers sent from our Contractor National Average $10,625 Low End Cost $5,200 High end Cost $50,000.... Asphalt Roof $24,089.90 we also Priced a metal roof as well that price total is $24,989.00 with the price being $900.00 dollars difference this so called insurance company said that's to much we can only pay you this $15,780 with our $1,000 deductible that left us with $14,780 nowhere close to what our contractor said... This company who prides itself on its customer service and relationship's with said customers has fail in so many ways... Now we are faced with LIEN that's added $831.00 to our bill on our home plus 1.5 interest. during this hard ship where money is already tight and the cost of living has gone up but not our pay... I WOULD NOT RECOMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NICK FORRY & ANDREW RADER need to be held accountable....
